Fiber/glass processing
NorthLab provides fully customizable and modular Glass/Fiber Processing systems, designed for the most complex and demanding applications within the optical component industry
3SAE Optical Development Combiner System (ODC)
The OCD is a highly advanced glass/fiber processing system, designed for manufacturing of fused fiber bundles. Up to 19 fibers can be arranged, aligned, fused, tapered, cleaved, and spliced to create high-quality fiber combiners. The system is modular and can be fully customized and configured for many different fiber counts, fiber diameters, and combiner geometries.
S183, PM Polarization Maintaining Splicer
The S183PMII Fusion Splicer is designed specifically for the demanding production and research applications of the optical components industry. The splicer is capable of splicing specialty and exotic fiber combinations, large diameter fibers (up to 500 μm), Polarization maintaining fibers and High-strength application.
Large Diameter Splicing System (LDS)
The LDS is a highly advanced glass/fiber processing system, designed specifically for the most complex and demanding applications. An enhanced high-power version of the Ring of Fire® technology enables the LDS System to splice fibers from 125um to 2500um.
The LDS system is among many applications used for manufacturing of Mode Filed Adaptors (MFA), capillary style Combiners/Bundles, Couplers and splicing of Prisms, Lenses and End-Caps.
